The Winchester Chapter of the American Guild of Organists (WAGO) is a professional group of organists, church musicians and music appreciators. Our region includes the Piedmont and Valley regions of Virginia which covers the counties of Loudoun, Clarke, Warren, Frederick, Shenandoah and Fauquier. The city of Winchester is near the geographical center of this region and benefits from being the home of Shenandoah Conservatory and Shenandoah University.
Our chapter holds regular meetings and welcomes all guests and visitors. Our website has specific information about calendar events, recitals and chapter meetings accessed from the toolbar headings. We encourage AGO members from the greater Washington area and the Tri-state region of West Virginia, Maryland and Virginia to become dual members. Our newsletter En Chamade is online.

From The Chapter Dean
Greetings from the WAGO. Our members are friendly and welcoming. I invite you to explore our chapter through the various links on our Home Page. We are an engaged and academically diverse group of people who foster an interest in the organ. Most members are or have had positions as church music directors and organists. Many, when retired, continue to have active performance opportunities. Most members choose to be involved in some way with chapter activities.
Although we are currently under Covid-19 pandemic restrictions, our chapter is extraordinarily blessed to be able to offer some powerful online video “events”, free for you to explore. We are proud that each of the productions came about entirely through the talent and planning of our members. Whether by email, phone or an in-person meeting, it would be my pleasure to tell you more about our chapter.
